Now how is Koe involved in this rumored Ragweed reunion?

It's been a wild few weeks in the world of Texas/Red Dirt. After a decade and a half of “no's” and “that'll never happen,” it appears that some sort of potential Cross Canadian Ragweed something-or-other is afoot. Click here to find out more.

There is speculation on the internet about a reunion, perhaps a reunion album or a new recording. But so far the Ragweed camp has remained silent, save for a few Facebook updates, including one that mentioned Koe. What does Koe Wetzel have to do with it?

Maybe absolutely nothing, But perhaps it was his song that set in motion the chain of events that led us to September 24th. We all miss Ragweed, like Koe and the girl. It's likely that the Ragweed team will only benefit from Koe's great success. But could it be more?

Early 2020 Our buddy Kasey James from The PlayList sat down for a chat with Red Dirt legend Cody Canada. The two covered a lot, including Canada's stance on one of Texas' brightest burning stars.

Koe Wetzel's rise, his band's swagger, and their undeniable popularity have drawn comparisons to Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Cody certainly sees that. “I don’t give a fuck, but I don’t give a fuck,” Cody says, his band did it, and Koe does it. “You guys act like you don't care, but you really don't… I support everything he does. I’m proud of him.”

“Everyone finally stopped asking me when the band was going to get back together, and then he came out with this damn song,” Canada says, laughing. “No, I like the song. It’s an honor.”
