P Diddy faces sexual misconduct charges from 120 new accusers, lawyer says | Ents & Arts News

Rapper and music mogul Sean Combs is being accused of sexual misconduct by 120 new accusers – including one who claims he was abused when he was nine years old.

Tony Buzbee, a Houston attorney representing the plaintiffs, said he expects lawsuits to be filed within the next month.

He said there were 60 male and 60 female accusers and 25 of them were children at the time of the alleged crimes.

The allegations against combs cover a period from 1991 to this year.

“This type of sexual assault, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation should not be happening in the United States or anywhere else,” Buzbee said at a news conference.

“This should never have gone on for so long. This behavior has left scores of people hurt, frightened and scarred.”

Most of the lawsuits are expected to be filed in New York and Los Angeles, Buzbee said. In addition to the 120 accusers, other cases are being examined, he added.

What is P Diddy accused of?

Combs – also known as P Diddy and Puff Daddy – is awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

In response to the latest claims, his lawyer said he “cannot address every unfounded accusation in what has become a ruthless media circus.”

“Nevertheless, Mr. Combs strongly and categorically denies as false and defamatory any allegation that he sexually abused anyone, including minors,” Erica Wolff added in a statement.

“He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court as lawsuits are filed and served, with the truth determined based on evidence rather than speculation.”

The majority of individuals represented by Mr. Buzbee's firm come from California, New York, Georgia and Florida, with prosecutors collectively hailing from more than 25 states.

Combs faces Several other lawsuits were filed last yearand the latest claims also follow a video that surfaced in May showing him attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie.

Combs' lawyers offered a $50 million (£37.8 million) bail in exchange for him being placed under house arrest at his Florida mansion with GPS monitoring and strict visitor restrictions. However, his legal team's applications for bail have so far been rejected.

Combs, who has won three Grammys, founded Bad Boy Records in 1993 and is one of the most well-known music managers and performers in hip-hop.
