WWE NXT results: Winners, live scores, reactions and highlights from the CW Network debut | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

Shawn Michaels introduced new NXT and NXT Women's Championships for the new CW era. Triple H helped him ask the Chicago crowd if they were ready.

Roxanne Perez was defeated by Giulia in this fight. However, with the referee distracted, Cora Jade floored The Beautiful Madness with a double underhook DDT. The Prodigy hit them with Pop Rox to win.

When Giulia first signed with WWE, hype began to build around a climactic match between The Beautiful Madness and The Prodigy. It was always going to be difficult to live up to the hype.

Perez vs. Giulia delivered a match that wasn't in pure WWE style, as the action lacked a clear edge. However, it wasn't due to a lack of chemistry. In fact, the two stayed well grounded the entire time.

Better results are achieved when the two work together more. The execution will be stricter and hopefully the fresh touch that is so alien to NXT will be maintained.

The result was a real shock, although the arrival of Stephanie Vaquer last week was an indication of that. Jade's arrival adds some complications to the women's suddenly overloaded main scene.

That won't hurt Giulia, who didn't need an undefeated streak to make it big. She will have another chance to take gold and probably win the rematch as long as Vaquer doesn't jump in front of her in line.

The collaboration between Perez and Jade is a great move, and this surprising result establishes this reformed heel alliance at the top of the company.

Perez defeated. Giulia defends the NXT Women's Championship by pinfall.

  • NXT came with a new theme: “Millions From Now” by 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. It's a solid way to maintain NXT's growing hip-hop focus.
  • The NXT Championship redesign was necessary, especially with the brand color change between black and silver, although the new look is quite simple.
  • Giulia was often superior to Perez's technical attacks by rolling from the flank.
  • Vic Joseph and Booker T were ready to call it a day after Giulia scored with her low knee strike, but The Prodigy kicked out.
  • When Perez hit the first Pop Rox, The Beautiful Madness rolled outside.
  • As The Prodigy followed her, Giulia planted her on the ground with a Northern Lights Bomb. Both were almost counted out.
